support

As autonomous members, our churches and pastors are eligible for several support initiatives through our Association of Churches and its partners.

  • AOC Retreat

The AOC fully covers the cost for licensed pastors and workers to attend the annual Retreat (formerly Pastors’ Conference) at Green Bay Bible Camp.

  • Refresh Retreats

The AOC provides biennial grants for Refresh Retreats, including an option for three free nights at Fairhaven Retreat Centre in Vernon.

  • Pastors' Connect

The AOC offers a monthly meeting on Zoom where Dave Mohr and our Association pastors meet for a time of connection, support and prayer.

  • Counselling & Mentorship

The AOC offers pastors free spiritual direction mentorship and coaching with professional counsellor, Dr. Marv Penner.

  • Sabbatical

The AOC provides churches up to $1500 every seven years to help with expenses while their pastor is away on sabbatical.

  • Support Network

The AOC connects pastors and churches through a collaborative network for preaching and worship leadership coverage.

  • Insurance

The AOC offers a comprehensive group insurance plan for church staff.

  • Policy & Procedure Documents

The AOC provides churches with sample policies and procedure guides.

  • Credentialing

The AOC provides pastors with licensing and ordination processes, as well as professional development opportunities.

  • Camp

Our partner Green Bay Bible Camp provides 25% off one entire camp, per year, per family to all of our AOC pastors. This applies to one camp per summer, so pastors can choose one Family Camp (all family members included), a single kids camp, a single DTP term, or a single day camp.

  • Prayer

The AOC staff and Executive Council pray regularly for our Association churches and leaders. Specific requests can be shared through a confidential prayer request form.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
— Hebrews 10:24-25
